Photos just in from Mota from earlier today, where the crew was putting in panels on the install for the Pershing General Hospital, using a new, innovative, cost-saving clip design, inspired by the array on the playa this summer. Nice work!

A small crew of full-time volunteers has set the posts and installed the electrical runs for the 90 kw Gerlach array. We are currently held up by the availability of the racking system, which has been scheduled for delivery on November 30. As soon as the racking arrives, we will be ready to move full speed ahead to get all of the components mounted and connected up. In this project we have learned that the only constant is change, so we are all staying as flexible we can. I have uploaded a few pictures of the Gerlach installation here.
The crew is heading out to Lovelock on November 5th to begin the 30kw installation at the Pershing General Hospital. This is a smaller array utilizing a simpler racking system and the crew is charged up to git’er done. Keep your eyes open for more updates and photos over the next few weeks.
