Another bright spot: demonstration solar array built for University of Nevada, Reno Planetarium

We’re happy to show off our latest project, a 1kW solar demonstration project built for the Fleischmann Planetarium at the University of Nevada, Reno.

-Doug Drummond, Scott Stephenson, Matt Deluge, Richard Scott, Eli Lyon and Joe Pizur, our team on this project.
This is the first half of a two part project, the next being installation of a 1kW wind installation on the same site, later this spring. This project was made possible by a grant from the NV Energy Foundation.
Both systems will feed into a real-time monitoring system inside the Planetarium, which will be a great educational tool to the hundreds of K-12 field trips from the surrounding communities every year.
