Over a three month time, three solar arrays were installed just for the Pyramid Lake High School. The High School Well received 30 kW, the Ball Field received 30 kW and the Main Meter received 135 kW. In total, that’s over 1100 solar panels providing almost all of the electricity the high school needs, at a fraction of the electricity costs.
“The savings from these projects will definitely increase our ability to provide more services in other areas – language programs, our museum, parks and recreation and elder services. Those are areas we can focus on.”
Mervin Wright, Chairman, Pyramid Lake Tribal Council
