Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe Jr/Sr High School

Nixon, Nevada

“The savings from these projects will definitely increase our ability to provide more services in other areas – language programs, our museum, parks and recreation and elder services. Those are areas we can focus on.”

Mervin Wright, Chairman, Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Council

In January 2012, we returned to the Pyramid Lake Jr/Sr High School to install another 130 kilowatt ground-mount array. This was in addition to the 195 kW of solar power previously installed at the school, bringing its total to 315 kilowatts!

Over the years, we’ve spent more time in the town of Nixon than anywhere else, and have developed a fantastic relationship with this community. We appreciate the privilege to work with every tribal member from students to solar apprentices, and are happy to have helped the tribe create huge savings by decreasing its reliance on the electrical grid.
