The Community Center is where members of the Washoe Tribe’s Stewart Community in Carson City gather for different events. The center provides essential services and a central location for tribal families. For this project, Black Rock Solar’s tribal apprenticeship program offered job training and classroom education for three Washoe Tribe members: Rupert Powers, Freddy Pete, and Norman Fillmore, all pictured here.
