Waste water treatment may not seem too exciting – that is until you power it with solar! In February, Black Rock Solar completed installation of a 385-panel, 103 kW ground-mount array for the City of Lovelock Waste Water Treatment Plant.
This array, along with a 103 kW array for the Lovelock Water District just completed by Black Rock Solar, will help the city save thousands of dollars annually on its entire water system. The electricity generated by the combined 770 brand new photovoltaic panels could lower future rate increases for residents of this rural town east of Pyramid Lake.
