TMCC Dandini Sierra Building

Reno, Nevada

With 594 panels, this 148 kW array is Black Rock Solar’s largest rooftop photovoltaic system to date. Completed in September 2013, the array will save TMCC more than $25,000 annually on its utility bill. Combined with the 50 kW array BRS built on the Vista Building in May 2012 and the college’s renewable energy academic program, TMCC continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Black Rock Solar is proud to be part of that commitment.

Since 2009, TMCC has offered a construction technologies associate of applied science degree with an emphasis on renewable energy. It provides the classroom and hands-on training necessary for renewable energy professionals like BRS Crew Supervisor Eli Lyon who graduated from the program in 2012.
