Black Rock Solar installed a 101 kW ground-mount array at the Walker River Paiute Tribe Arsenic Plant in Schurz, Nevada, in November 2013. This 385-panel array will save the tribe more than $350,000 over the next 25 years.
The drinking water treatment facility removes arsenic from the water for a healthier community and also helps meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency drinking water regulations.
The mission of the Walker River Paiute Tribe is to maintain its Agai Dicutta “Trout Eaters” heritage while carrying it into the future. The Walker River Tribe is committed to fostering the ideal of community, self-determination and self-sufficiency.
