Thank you for considering supporting the work of Black Rock Solar! We have an ambitious goal for 2008 of building 500kilowatts of low or no cost solar across Nevada, and to do that we’re going to have to raise considerable funds to cover the difference between the rebates from Sierra Pacific, and the actual cost of the installs.

Then, if you can, make a cash donation to help fund our work! We’re happy to announce that the Black Rock Arts Foundation has agreed to act as our fiscal sponsor while our application to the IRS for formal 501 (c) 3 tax deductible non-profit recognition is being processed. That means donations to BRS are tax deductible to the extent allowed, if made via BRAF.

Our estimates are that every dollar Black Rock Solar receives will turn into more that $7 of clean, renewable energy, a great return on your support! And we also estimate we’ll spend only 12% of donations on administration and overhead, meaning more of your donation will go where you want it to.
